[edit] Overview

The Power of Belief examines: what is a belief; how did we come to our beliefs; what are they creating for us; and if they aren’t producing the results we want – how do we change them?

“Belief is Power. The power to create. We create our reality simply by what we agree to believe”

A long-time protégé of best-selling author don Miguel Ángel Ruiz, author of The Four Agreements, Dodd has adapted the time honored wisdom of the ancient Toltecs of Mexico to create a potent framework for change. He offers a different and refreshing view saying that our beliefs are not only what we think, but a multi-dimensional filter that we experience life through. What we believe is often hidden from our conscious awareness but has a major impact on our relationships, finances, and the way we work.

Dodd’s approach is sincere and gives many examples from his work with people as a mentor/coach in order to better understand the theory and process. Dodd describes how we come to what we believe through assembling our safety zone. Fabricating new empowering beliefs he says, requires accountability, giving up the need to be right and learning awareness beyond intellectual understanding. He proposes that awareness of what you actually believe is 90% of the process of change, and that true awareness (perception without judgement) is often the solution itself. Perhaps changing limiting beliefs and shifting faith is not such an easy task, but Dodd inspires one to take the leap and deeply examine the power of what one believes.
