The Potteries Urban Area

The Potteries Urban Area is a conurbation in North Staffordshire in the West Midlands region of England. It includes the city of Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle-under-Lyme and Kidsgrove and a few other surrounding hamlets.

The area has a population of 362,403 (2001 census), with Stoke-on-Trent making up about 240,000 of this population.[1]
