The Ponds, New South Wales

The Ponds, a suburb located in the City of Blacktown, in the Hills District, in the state of New South Wales was created on the 27th January 2007. Its postcode is 2769.
Boundaries of the suburb are Schofields Road to the north, Stanhope Parkway, Stanhope Gardens to the south, Fyfe Road, Kellyville Ridge to the east, Mungerie Park Ave to the west.
The Ponds is located in the north-west growth corridor near Rouse Hill, where a major shopping complex is being built. The Ponds was named due to the development of a new housing estate called "Second Ponds Creek" which was under the suburbs of Kellyville Ridge and Schofields. A new suburb was designed instead of keeping the area in two separate suburbs.
The first lots of land was released on the 31st March 2007.
