[edit] Introduction

The Plant is a church in the campus area of south Manchester, England, which started in September 2004. The meetings are based in three different locations as detailed below.

Meetings are aimed to be friendly, informal and accessible, especially for people who are not used to church or Christian ideas. The Plant was founded to serve all those who live and work in and around the Manchester university campuses (Manchester, Manchester Metropolitan & Salford), but with a particular focus on students and recent graduates. Even with this in mind everyone is very much welcomed.

[edit] Meetings & Events

Each week at the main meetings time is spent getting to know each other over a meal; and getting to know God better by reading the Bible, hearing the Bible being explained, and then discussing what it means, and how this can be applied to daily living. The Plant’s meetings are designed to be very informal and open allowing discussion of issues raised.

In line with the Plant's strong belief in fellowship i.e. members being able to support and encourage each other as part of the church family, regular social events take place including barbeques & cinema trips.

Christianity Explored courses are also ran regularly allowing a chance for greater discussion over many issues within Christianity.
