The Pictou Academy Educational Foundation, PAEF, was created in 1916 and provides extensive financial support for the school.

It is a free standing, non-profit, organization which is funded by donations.

The Foundation grants many financial awards to the graduates of the Pictou Academy every year. The money comes mainly from the yearly interest that old donations gain each year.
