The Phoenix Club

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Phoenix Club is one of many locations from the comic world of Peter Kay.

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

The Phoenix Club is home to entertainment of all types, including Bingo, Singing and a wide range of themed nights. The Phoenix of course refers to Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights, the club that was created by clubland preffesional (or at least he claims he is) Brian Potter.

The Phoenix Club's three best themed night are:

  • Western Night
  • Stars in their Eyes Night
  • Psychic Night

This club has a number of workers, all with their own part to it. We have:

  • Brian Potter: Owner of the club, who goes to any extremes to keep it still standing.
  • Jerry StClaire: Cabaret singer...awful one too. Loves the club and thinks it's like a home to him.
  • Ray Von: RAVE ON!!! This engineer loves to add any sort of mechanical adjustments to the club.
  • Max and Paddy: The two doormen of the club, they're a mind of their own and don't seem to contribute to the club.
  • Les and Alan: The two backing players with both drums and keyboard.
  • Kenny Senior: Liar, Liar, Clubs on Fire! Kenny senior is the clubs liar, and an obvious one too.
  • Young Kenny: Tiger faced handyman with an IQ of a Dinosaur.
  • Mary (Holy Mary): The Bible as her most gripping read and God as her witness.
  • Spencer: Gormless by the most, and seems to have a job because no one has to pay him.
  • Ant and Dec: Not one word of English spoken, not one penny on their salary, seem to stirfry everything.
  • Sea Captain: Temporary Raffle ticket man, died on the second night.

The club has had it all, fire caused by a rival known as Den Perry, owner of the Banana Grove. But the Phoenix rises from the ashes, all thanks to its most beloved owner, Brian Potter. It's seen all sorts of performances hold it back from the public, a racist folk group, an unforeseeable psychic and a bias shootouts between to different sides of the north. But most things bring forth the public. Like Lady's Night, Family fun day (even though a certain bouncy castle hold back the public) and Stars in their eyes. The Phoenix shall never die, Brian Potter believes as it still goes on today (In Peter Kay's world). The Phoenix is a great club, for adults of all ages, though attrackting mostly old.
