The Peninsula School was founded in 1961 by a group of high profile old boys of Geelong Grammar School, Melbourne Grammar School and Wesley College who wanted a high quality private boys school on the Mornington Peninsula.

The Peninsula School is set on the large hilly green fields overlooking Port Phillip Bay in the Mornington Peninsula.

It is a member of the Associated Grammar Schools of Victoria or AGS as it's more widely known. Its "sister" school for many years was Toorak College until Peninsula became Co-Ed in 1994.

Just recently, a new Middle School building (Years 7,8 & 9) has been built.

All money for this project is from the School. The hall will be able to seat approx 2000 people and will be larger than the Frankston Arts Centre and the Robert Blackwood Hall. The School is hoping to rent out the hall to theatre companies and other schools when it is not in use. This project is being managed by the schools construction coordinator, Stephen Colley.
