On a world rumoured to be a place of healing the crew of the Excalibur find an alien that acts as a confessor for passing travellers.

- The destruction of the Cerberus is seen in full, as is Gideon's rescue by Galen during the great Technomage exodus.
- The last (or presumably the last) act of the Telepath War is explained, and we learn that Matheson played a part in it.
- We learn more about Galen's past, that He and Isabelle were betrayed by someone.
