The Palisades is a neighborhood in Washington, D.C., overlooking the Potomac River between Chain Bridge and Key Bridge, bound to the east by MacArthur Boulevard. It is part of Advisory Neighborhood Commission 3D in Ward 3, the far northwest corner of the Northwest Quadrant just north of Georgetown.

Palisades is one of the most wealthy and exclusive neighborhoods in Washington, with detached houses that offer a broad overlook of the Potomac and the Virginia riverfront. Many residents are quite resistant to any proposed change and voice strong opinions about the appearance of their neighbors' homes. A local newspaper, the Northwest Current, serves as a forum for such viewpoints.

Current residents include Joseph Wilson, Valerie Plame, C.Dellinger, Alan Greenspan and Karl Rove.
