[edit] Plot
At the pier, Ryan and Seth stop for lunch at the Crab Shack and discuss money issues. Ryan feels bad about taking money from the Cohen’s, especially when he's not their child. But, when an angry server quits his job, Ryan takes a job at the Crab Shack. At the Crab Shack, Ryan meets Donnie, another server who is more of a party kid. He invites Ryan out to introduce him to some 'real' people in Newport. This makes Seth jealous. Later, Ryan meets Marissa and asks her out on a date. Marissa says that she's stuck baby sitting her little sister, Kaitlin, so she invites Ryan over for mac' and cheese. Meanwhile, at the Cohen's, Sandy and Jimmy decide to have a bachelor's night as both their wives are out with the Newport Society women. Sandy then tells Jimmy that in order to avoid 8 to 10 years of jail he would have to pay a $4 million fine. Ryan thinks that Seth cannot handle going to one of Donny's parties alone. Ryan goes to the party with Seth and ends up inadvertently standing up Marissa. At the party, the Cohen’s Range Rover is vandalized. At the Spa, Julie reveals that she's thinking of divorce. Every body except Kirsten agrees. She thinks that Julie should be supporting Jimmy instead of rejecting him. Julie later admits to Kirsten that she has always been jealous of her. Later in the evening, Seth invites Donnie to Holly Fischer's party. Seth says that the party might be a bit bland, but Donny says that it's OK as long as there is beer and girls. Holly makes a move on Luke after discovering that he and Marissa broke up. They end up making out in her room. Ryan cooks grilled cheese for himself and Marissa. They take a dip in the pool and nearly kiss before Seth calls and tells Ryan that Holly's party is getting out of hand. Donnie ends up shooting Luke in his shoulder.
[edit] Quotes
Seth: It'll be good to take some me-time, work on my novel. Tonight would make a good chapter.
Donnie:(pointing a gun at Luke) How much do you hate 'this kid' Ryan? The way he talks to you like you're trash? How about you Seth?
Seth: Yeah. He's definitely flawed.
Seth: United we're unstoppable, but divided...
Ryan: People get shot.
Seth: That's what I'm saying.
Jimmy: Are we old? Cause I feel like I'm 16?
Sandy: Oh, I'm still 22. It was my best year.
Jimmy: Why 22?
Sandy: That's when I met Kirsten. Why 16?
Jimmy: That was when I met Kirsten.
Seth: (to Ryan) Enough with the whole moody scowl thing.
(looking at the trashed Range Rover)
Sandy: This happened at an IMAX theatre?
Seth: Shark movies bring out a rough crowd.
