[edit] History

The band was founded in 2002 in Leichlingen (Germany). Rod Usher, Sarge von Rock, Dr. Caligari and Andy Only started out as a Misfits-Coverband under the name Ghouls in 1999. The Other made a name for themselves soon after their foundation, especially due to their outfits, which are inspired by old Horror-Movies. Punk, - and Deathrock-Fans appreciated the band's sound that can be called a mixture of Punk-Rock, Deathrock, Rockabilly and Metal. Their contribution to the compilation "This is Horrorpunk" created world-wide attention and after the release of the debut-album They're Alive The Other supported bands such as the Misfits, Wednesday 13, Balzac or The 69 Eyes. The second album We Are Who We Eat was released in 2006 and confirmed the status of the band. Two European tours and Gigs with Bela B., Wednesday 13, The Meteors as well as many festivals followed.

[edit] Line-Up

The only line-up change took place in december of 2006, when bassist and founding-member Andy Only left the band. The former roadie Migore Drake became the new bassist.
