[edit] The Beginning
The OtherHalf performed shows around Toronto and LA and before Leslie and her band had a showcase in NYC on January 19th, 2006 in hope it would lead to a recod deal. The songs performed on this had Leslie abandoning her bubblegum pop roots for a more mature, rock-oriented sound. The group are writing and co-writing all of their own songs.
Leslie decided in mid-/late 2006 to make a band out of her backup musicians, and they now go by the name The OtherHalf. Aside from Leslie, the band consist of Mike Ashton on drums, DJ Porter on keyboard, Casey Clowater rhythm guitar, Paul Davidson on bass, and Dave Thompson on lead guitar. You can listen to several of their demo tracks on their MySpace.
[edit] House of Carters
The whole band was shown on House of Carters, including a live performance at the Cat Club in LA. Leslie was also seen writing new songs and performing them for her brothers and sisters.
