[edit] Plot
“ | Racing should be fun...on Oban it's a different story. Everyone's after the Ultimate Prize. Prince Aikka, my former best-friend, attacked us for a handful of points. My father is so obsessed with the race that he can't figure out that I'm his long-lost daughter, Eva. Hello, I'm here...whatever. Me? Well, I have my own reasons for wanting to win...it's kinda personal.

The episode starts with a hooded figure sneaking into the Earth Team's sleeping quarters. There he places his hand over Molly's mouth, waking her, and drags her outside. The figure is then revealed to be Prince Aikka, who apologizes for betraying her trust during the snow fields race. However, he also uses the opportunity to warn her to stay away from him during future races, as with only four left, he cannot afford any losses.
The following morning, all of the racers are summoned to the central building. There, Satis asks them to welcome the Avatar, who then appears. As he talks to the racers, the scene shifts to another place, a dark one with a cage suspended in the middle. Inside, the being known as Canaleto, whom sabotaged the Whizzing Arrow I can be seen, trapped. He throws out a handfull of feathers, each of which turns into an image of each of the racers as they are. He describes the Avatar as a great deceiver whom he had fallen victim to, before subtlely making his presence known to the racers. After they all have had a chance to glare at and threaten as a reaction to the presence, Kross informs Sul that he shall soon be dethroned from first place. Before all return to their quarters, Molly gets to glance at Aikka, who does the same.
The temple arrives over an expanse of vast holes in the ground; the location of the next race. Once the race starts and all fly down the hole they enter a long tunnel; down the tunnel runs a wire, with large orbs of light spread out every hundred metres or so. When Don comments on how he thought there were no advanced civilizations on Oban, Koji analyses the orbs as being completely natural. The orbs also happen to emmit destructive waves of energy, which hit Ondai just as he is about to overtake the Arrow. Koji also finds out that there is enough energy inside each orb to create a small planet.
As Sul once again takes the lead, Kross follows, telling Aikka to stop anyone from getting past him. His first victims are Ning and Skun, whom he hits with two of his arrows at the same time. Meanwhile, Molly comes level with Prince Aikka, who loads an arrow to fire at her. As she tells Jordan not to shoot at him, Aikka remembers that morning, when he received a message from his parents. They told him that the Crogs had come to 'save' their holy city, and that he would listen to the Crogs and follow their orders from now on. Back in the tunnel, Aikka reminds himself that he warned Molly and fires; however, she dodges it and flys on, leaving Aikka and G'dar in range of the arrows blast against the wall.
Further ahead, Sul enters a large cave, with more of the tunnel on the other side. After saying how the legends of the caves exsistance were true, he is attacked from behind be Kross. To escape, he teleports out of the blasts' path, and just as Kross thinks he's won, he appears behind him, blasting him with a wave of psychic energy. Kross desperatly tries hitting Sul with his weapon, but misses, hitting and severing the wire connecting one of the orbs instead. Just as Molly catches up, with Aikka gaining ground behind her, the orb with the severed wire explodes. All communication goes offline back at the base, and Koji reveals that not even the gate survived. However, before they all completely lose hope of Molly's survival, her face appears on the moniter. It appears that the Avatar protected all in the tunnel, to stop any loss of life.
That night, the Earth Team watch a great ball of light, created by the explosion, rocket into outer space. When asked what will happen to it, Koji says that the energy inside it makes for countless possibilities. Molly suggests that mabye it contains 'planet seeds', as after all, the Avatar earlier that day referred to Oban as the 'Mother Planet'. Noticing Jordan and Molly looking up at the stars together, Stan winks at Koji and suggests, "Let's leave these two alone." Koji winks back and they both leave. Jordan looks at the stars and tries to talk to Molly again, but Molly claims it's too cold and goes inside- saying: "It's too chilly outside...you can watch the stars alone."
Jordan goes inside discouarged, and sees flowers spread out on the ground. He grabs a few and goes to Molly's room (or so he thinks). Thinking that Molly is in her bed, he leaves the flowers by her bedside and spills out his feelings about her. He tells her that if she feels the same way, she should meet him outside the door. Jordan goes outside, and hears footsteps coming from the door. He blushes and thinks this could be his big chance -- until Don Wei comes out of the room and looks at the flowers solemnly. Jordan's very confused and notices that he might have gone in the wrong room. Jordan goes in and notices that he had not gone into the wrong room -- and now Don Wei knows his secret.
Molly, unaware of this scene, is outside looking at Prince Aikka's temple, depressed and angry. She throws a rock toward his temple and growls, "Does the race really have to change us?!! What happened to you?!"
