[edit] Plot

Monica continues dating millionaire Pete Becker - but she's just not attracted to him. She confesses about this to Pete, but he isn't willing to give up so easily and convinces her to stick around a little longer.

Joey gets the lead in a play. Kate Miller, the actress playing his wife in the play, gives Joey the fits. She's condescending and rude, thinks she's the "greatest actress since sliced bread", and can't understand why her character would be attracted to Joey's character. Joey doesn't know what to do about her - a problem made worse when Chandler suggests Joey might be attracted to her. Joey figures he may be right, and asks Kate out to coffee - but just then her boyfriend, the play's eccentric director, comes in to take her home.

Ross is ecstatic when Rachel says she needs to see him. Figuring that Rachel wants to reconcile, he's disappointed when she gives him a box of some of the things he left over when they were dating. An angry Ross then demands ALL of his stuff back, including a book and an old, small T-shirt Rachel likes to sleep in. She gives in and gives him the shirt back, even though he hadn't worn the shirt in over ten years.

Mark confesses to Rachel that he's had a crush on her, and asks her out on a date. She agrees - which upsets Ross, who tries to spy on them through Chandler's peephole. He's about to go interrupt the date when Chandler stops him and convinces him to move on. Just as Mark is about to kiss Rachel goodnight, Rachel stops him. The only reason she'd agreed to go out with Mark in the first place was to get back at Ross, but then she felt bad for doing so and didn't want to put Mark in the middle.

Later, Ross drops by to bring Rachel a box of her stuff. Rachel figures it's just shampoo and various other things - and is touchingly shocked when she discovers there's only one item in it: The tiny t-shirt.
