[edit] Plot

To surprise Monica, Chandler hires a maid to clean the apartment. At first, Monica is deeply offended by the notion ("you better have meant mistress instead of maid, because if another woman was in here cleaning..."). Eventually, she grows used to the idea, but things take a turn for the worst when she "discovers" that Brenda (the maid) has stolen a pair of her pants. She tries to check if it's really hers, as her pair has a ballpoint pen stain in the crotch, but her method of checking (sticking her head between Brenda's legs) leads Brenda to think that Monica's a lesbian. Monica then sees Brenda's bra strap, thinks it's her bra, and tells Chandler to check. Of course, the maid is completely scandalized, and quits - right after Monica discovers that she's been wearing her own bra, and that Rachel took the pants.

Ross finds out that a woman in his building just died, and that Rachel might be able to move in. When they go to see the woman's family, they find out she's not dead, only dying - and that she only speaks Dutch. Ross's claim of having spoken to her is put at jeopardy, so he tries to learn Dutch and finds that Gunther speaks fluent Dutch. Joey, on the other hand, is dismayed at the thought of Rachel moving out and eventually convinces her to stay.

Phoebe meets up with Eric, who has just broken up with Ursula and the two decide to go on a lunch date. Eric, however, is unable to separate his thoughts of Ursula from Phoebe. When she comes again to see him later, she finds out that he has just slept with Ursula, thinking it was her. She then realizes that the whole situation is too weird and breaks up with him.
