The One with the Joke
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"The One with the Joke" is the twelfth episode of season six of Friends.
First aired: January 13, 2000
[edit] Plot
Ross has a joke published in the Playboy magazine, and Chandler claims that Ross stole the joke from him. They both argue over whose joke it is, and ultimately asks Monica to decide for them, who upon hearing their explanations behind the creation of the joke, calls them both idiots for arguing over who gets credit for the joke; on the other hand, they should be arguing over who is to be blamed for inflicting such a terrible joke upon the world. Ross and Chandler both hastily back down from claiming credit for the joke.
Meanwhile, Rachel, Monica and Phoebe ask each other who they would date out of the other two - both Rachel and Monica decide that they don't know, but Phoebe says that she would go out with Rachel. Monica becomes upset upon hearing this, and demands to know why. It emerges that Phoebe thinks that Monica is high-maintenance, and that Rachel is apparently a "push-over". They both retaliate by calling Phoebe "flaky", but Phoebe nonchalantly agrees.
Joey gets a job at Central Perk, although he doesn't really want it because he feels that it's embarrassing to be a waiter, especially since he is an actor, and also that it's weird to be serving his friends.
