[edit] Plot

Joey stars in "Freud!", a bad musical about Sigmund Freud. After the show Joey meets an agent, former showgirl Estelle Leonard, who wants to represent him.

Chandler also meets someone - an exotic beauty named Aurora. Despite the fact that she is married to a man named Rick and also has another boyfriend named Ethan, Chandler enters into a purely sex-based relationship with her. He ends the relationship when he finds out she's picked up yet another boyfriend, Andrew.

Rachel cleans the apartment by herself for the first time - much to obsessive-compulsive Monica's disappointment. The gang teases Monica mercilessly about her need to have everything in order - Ross points out that when they were kids Monica's Raggedy Ann doll was the only one that was not raggedy. At the end of the episode, Monica leaves a pair of shoes outside to prove to her friends that she's not obsessive - but spends the whole evening obsessing about them.

Estelle gets Joey his first major job - as a butt double in the new Al Pacino film. However, he soon loses the job for "acting too much with it." His friends cheer him up - Phoebe says that one day he'll be such a big star that some kid will run up to his friends and say, "I got the part! I'm gonna be Joey Tribbiani's ass!"

[edit] Trivia

  • This is the first appearance of Estelle Leonard, Joey's agent
  • This is the first time Rachel sees Joey act
  • First major appearance of Monica's obsessive orderliness.

[edit] Goofs

  • During Joey's shower scene, his lower half isn't shown by the camera, but on closer inspection of the shadow cast against the shower wall, it's clear that he's wearing shorts.
