[edit] Plot
Monica is upset because whenever Ben comes anywhere near her, he starts to cry. Ross has an allergic reaction to Monica's pie. Seems he thought she said "Key lime" pie; she actually made a "kiwi lime" pie - and Ross is allergic to kiwi. Since Monica has to rush her brother to the hospital, the only ones left to watch Ben are Chandler and Joey.
Chandler and Joey view this as an excellent opportunity to meet women, so they pack up Ben and his stuff and head to the city. They meet two beautiful women on the bus, and agree to meet for drinks. However, they've left something very important on the bus - Ben. They go to Human Services to pick up the baby, with one small catch - there are two babies, and they can't decide which one is Ben. After a lengthy screening process (including flipping a coin), they pick up what they hope is the right baby and go on their way. Later, it's confirmed they picked up the right tot when Monica holds him - and he starts to cry. But as Ross begins to change his diaper he notices that one of his cheeks says "Property of Human Services."
Meanwhile, Central Perk manager Terry hires professional singer Stephanie Schiffer to entertain at the coffeehouse. He makes Rachel tell Phoebe the news. Rachel tries to work it out for Phoebe to sing anyway, but when Phoebe finds out she won't be paid she refuses. Instead, she starts busking on the sidewalk just outside Central Perk, mostly singing derogatory songs about Terry. At the end of the episode, we see Phoebe teaching Stephanie how to play "Smelly Cat."
[edit] Trivia
