[edit] Plot
Rachel, sick of being a waitress, searches for a new job. She has the gang help her send out resumes to everywhere she can think of (including Popular Mechanics), and eventually gets an interview at Saks Fifth Avenue.
The girls get upset when the guys won't let them in on their weekly poker game. The guys try to teach the girls how to play, but with disastrous results - the girls start trading cards with each other, and Phoebe discards two jacks because they "didn't look happy." Monica calls on her aunt Iris to teach the girls how to play. They get better - but not good enough, as they still lose.
Marcel shows a like for "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" in this episode, and when Ross becomes tired of hearing the song, he switches it off. Marcel proceeds to go into his room and slam the door.
The episode ends with the gang playing a 'boys against girls' game for a large amount of money. During the final hand, Rachel (who, along with Ross, is one of the last two players still in the game) learns that she was turned down for a promising job she'd been interviewed for. Upset, she raises the stakes. After Rachel reveals her cards, Ross declares that she has the winning hand, though he does not reveal his cards. As the girls celebrate Joey and Chandler dive on Ross's cards, which he succeeds in hiding from them. The suggestion is that Ross had a stronger hand of cards, but wanted Rachel to be happy and therefore let her win the game.
