Monica takes Rachel to the emergency room to have her injured ankle looked at. Rachel, who does not have health insurance, convinces Monica to switch identities with her so she can use Monica's. This plan goes awry when they meet two handsome doctors, Dr. Mitchell and Dr. Rosen, who ask them out. Monica and Rachel, each pretending to be the other, list all their worst qualities in front of their dates.
Ross, still worried about becoming a father, goes out to lunch with his own dad to try and gain perspective. After obsessing about sun-dried tomatoes, Mr. Geller reveals the moment he felt like a father: The first time Ross grabbed his finger.
Phoebe becomes upset when Joey no-shows her birthday party to go out with Ursula. Soon after, Ursula stops returning Joey's calls. Concerned for her friend, Phoebe confronts her sister and finds out that Ursula was never going to tell Joey they weren't seeing each other anymore. Posing as Ursula, Phoebe goes to let Joey down easy. They kiss, and Joey figures out that it's actually Phoebe.
