"The One With Phoebe's Uterus" is the eleventh episode of season four of the television situation comedy Friends.

To Phoebe's shock, Frank Jr. and Alice eloped and are now married. Then, they drop the real bombshell on Phoebe: since they are unable to conceive, they ask Phoebe to be a surrogate mother. Although Phoebe seems completely willing to go through with it because of how happy it will make Frank Jr. and Alice, Phoebe Sr. (who gave birth to and gave up Phoebe herself) decides to test her by giving her a puppy that she can only keep for three days.

With help from Ross, Joey gets a job as a tour guide at Ross' museum. Although most of the patrons (even the children) know more about dinosaurs than Joey, he is happy to be working with Ross. But when Ross decides to sit with the other doctors instead of with Joey and the rest of the tour guides, Joey is disappointed by his attitude. Ross realises that Joey's friendship is more important than the division in classes, and he chooses to break the rules and sit with Joey for lunch. This inspires the rest of the museum workers to shed their inhibitions.

Although he is "right there" with Kathy, Chandler confesses to Monica and Rachel that he and Kathy have not had sex because he is afraid that he won't be able to fill Joey's shoes in bed. After the first time doesn't live up to Chandler's expectations, Monica draws and acts out for Chandler how to succeed in bed with Kathy. It succeeds too well - not only in completely arousing the girls themselves, but also enables Chandler to have a great session with Kathy.

[edit] Trivia

• Chandler was originally supposed to say "Donald Trump wants his blue blazer back" rather than "Donald Trump wants his blue blazer black" but when Matthew Perry messed up the line the responses of the rest of the cast were so funny that the goof was left in the final cut.
