[edit] Plot

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

Phoebe reveals that six years prior, she married her friend Duncan, a gay Canadian ice dancer who needed a green card. Since Phoebe had a crush on him at the time, she was more than happy to oblige.

Duncan comes back into town to ask Phoebe for a divorce. Not only is he straight, but he's engaged to another woman. Phoebe, although upset, agrees.

The revelation of Phoebe's secret marriage (and the fact that Monica caught her eating a cheeseburger after Duncan left town) prompts several other secrets. The underwear on the telephone pole belongs to Monica, from an escapade with Fun Bobby on the terrace. Joey had a bit part in a porn flick. Chandler has a third nipple, which becomes the main source of amusement for the rest of the episode.

Ross is nervous about sleeping with Julie for the first time, so he turns to Rachel for advice. Given her feelings for Ross, Rachel tries her best to see that it doesn't happen - but it does anyway (twice in a night).
