[edit] Plot

Leslie, Phoebe's ex-singing partner, comes back into town, wishing to reunite their duo. Phoebe is very upset with Leslie, because Leslie dropped her to pursue a jingle-writing career. Phoebe finally decides to forgive Leslie and the two briefly resurrect their career - but hit a wall when Phoebe plays "Smelly Cat" for Leslie. Leslie thinks the song would make a great kitty litter commercial. Phoebe then asks Leslie to choose between her or the jingle-writing business - and the choice is obvious when the gang hears "Smelly Cat" used in a commercial.

While waiting in line for the bathroom, Chandler meets a girl named Ginger (who used the men's room, as the line for the ladies' was too long). They start to date, but he quickly finds out two things about her: She used to date Joey and has an artificial leg. In fact, the relationship ended when Joey unintentionally threw her wooden leg onto a fire. Chandler, while initially put off by the artificial leg, decides that he's okay with it. But, Ginger discovers his third nipple and ends the relationship out of disgust. Chandler then has the nipple removed in what he calls a "nubbin-ectomy". Later Monica makes an obvious and Chandler-esque joke. Chandler is alarmed that he didn't think of the joke first - was his third nipple the source of all his (witty) "powers"?

Ross, still jealous of Rachel's relationship with Mark, is pleased to learn that Mark is quitting his job. He's upset again, though, when he finds out Rachel will be attending a fashion-related lecture with Mark. Ross insists on going - so Mark won't try anything funny - and then falls asleep during the lecture. Rachel tries (unsuccessfully) to convince Ross that it's okay that he's not involved in every part of her life.

[edit] Goofs

  • In the scene where Chandler discovers Ginger's artificial limb, Ginger is seen with the fake leg in a puddle, then shaking the foot, indicating it's not artificial.
