[edit] Plot
Joey finds out that his comatose character on Days of Our Lives will undergo a brain transplant in which he receives the brain of the show's venerated star (guest star Susan Sarandon), who is famous for her dominant nature and slapping other characters. He goes to her for advice, but she is shocked to discover that she is being killed off. Joey tries to console her and they strike off a romantic relationship. Cecilia agrees to coach Joey on how to play her character. She eventually decides to try out Mexican soap operas.
Rachel and Phoebe find a cell phone left behind by an attractive man, and wait for him to call so they can make a date with him, which leads to competition between them. The claimant arrives later, and is an old gentleman who reveals that the man the girls saw earlier was his assistant. While Rachel is dismayed, Phoebe unexpectedly finds him quite attractive and they both go on a date.
While Monica and Chandler plan their wedding, Ross tells them that he plans on playing the bagpipes at the wedding, much to Monica and Chandler's chagrin. Ross attributes this choice to Chandler's Scottish ancestry, and that the song he will sing will be "Celebration" by Kool and the Gang. He strives to get them to agree to his performance, repeating his horrible performance before the friends. They are firm on the matter that he should not play in the wedding.

[edit] Production mistakes
The episode establishes that Phoebe’s apartment is at 5 Morton St., Apt. 14, which she gives over the phone. In real life, that building does not have an apartment 14. The apartments in that building are numbered 1A-5A, 1B-5B, and so forth until 5D.
