"The One With All the Haste" is the nineteenth episode of season four of the television sitcom Friends.

Monica and Rachel are sick of living in Joey and Chandler's smaller apartment and plot to get their apartment back. They offer Joey and Chandler season tickets to the Knicks in exchange for the apartment. Joey wants to trade, but Chandler refuses. The girls then offer a double-or-nothing (the tickets and the apartment) bet over a game of "who-draws-the-highest-card". The boys win and leave for the game. While they're gone, Rachel and Monica switch the apartments upon Phoebe's suggestion. When Joey and Chandler find out what they did, Chandler swears to get their apartment back, but Monica offers that she and Rachel to make out for one minute in exchange for the apartment. The boys consider it an even trade.

Ross is sad about Emily leaving to go back to London and is sick of only getting to see her for a few days every once in awhile. Against the advice of Joey and Chandler, Ross asks Emily to move in with him. She refuses for the fact that her 'whole life' is in London and says that Ross should move to England with her. He can't because of his son, Ben. Emily says that she could consider it if it was further in the future and they were getting married or something. She thinks Ross is going to freak out at the mention of marriage, but quite the opposite. He proposes to her, using the ring from his freshly pierced ear as a ring (although it doesn't fit). She says 'yes'. They get engaged.

Ross and Emily come over to Monica's "new" apartment and announce the engagement to the others. Everyone, including Rachel, is excited.
