Joey just got a job to be a model for a public health poster. However, while trying to hit on a woman on the subway, he sees the poster and finds out that he is depicted as a man with sexually transmitted disease. However, before she leaves they all go to the roof of the apartment to see the Underdog balloon that got away from the Thanksgiving day parade. When they come back to the apartment, they realize they have locked themselves out. By the time they get inside, Thanksgiving dinner is ruined and Rachel misses her flight.
They end up eating grilled cheese sandwiches and Funyuns, which were originally for Chandler because he hates anything to do with Thanksgiving. Chandler is pleased that everyone's Thanksgiving is ruined so that they can share in his misery.
