"The One Where Chandler Crosses The Line" is the episode seven of the fourth season of Friends.

This episode begins with Chandler, still madly in love with Joey's girlfriend Kathy, proclaiming that he has seen her naked when he accidentally walked in on her in the bathroom.

Chandler soon finds out that Joey is also dating another woman named Casey. Chandler tries to talk Joey out of a two-woman relationship and (hopefully) stick to Casey. But Joey will rather stick with his original idea. When Joey has car trouble and is unable to arrive to take Kathy on their date, Kathy and Chandler hang out. Kathy then gives Chandler a haircut, but they end up passionately kissing. They decide that they should forget it happened, but they end up kissing again. Chandler, feeling guilty, then decides to buy all new furniture to replace all the stuff that was stolen from them (including a new foosball table and recliners). He eventually tells Joey about his feelings for Kathy. When Joey tells him that he has split up with Kathy since she was seeing someone else, Chandler confesses that he is the one she is seeing. Joey then gets extremely angry at Chandler.

We are introduced to Ross's keyboard playing. Everybody, with the exception of Phoebe, hates Ross's music. Phoebe then tells Ross that she has lost motivation in her own music since he is SO good at the keyboard. Ross then gives a gig at Central Perk but he "purposely" plays bad so that Phoebe will feel he has sacrificed his music for her sake, and take up singing again. In the end, Rachel and Monica ask Ross if he had been playing bad on "purpose" right from the beginning, to which Ross replies that he was playing bad only at the coffee house.

  • On the DVD, a whole other plot is in this episode. The plot includes Rachel finding the joys of eating alone, and later a prospective date ditching her since "she is a crazy woman who eats alone".
  • The message on the Magna Doodle says "CLEAN UP THE DUCK FEATHERS IN THE HALLWAY! TREAGER" and then later "I love you man" with a little cartoon face in the lower left corner.
