The Next Tetris is a tetromino based puzzle video game released for the Playstation by Hasbro based on the popular Tetris games. The game was originally released on July 31, 1999.
This game is one of the first uses of 3D Polygonal graphics in an official Tetris release. All the Tetris blocks rotate in 3D on the HUD while being stored for future use. The Next Tetris also features a multiplayer mode with up to two players and an electronic dance music soundtrack. Interestingly, in the playstation version, the game is loaded completely into memory and you can swap the game cd for another music cd and listen to it while playing. Few games on the playstation allow you to do this.
