[edit] Episode Recap
Nate and David look for a new restorative artist after Rico left them for Kroehner in the previous episode. They interview a series of strange applicants, and are finally impressed by a young woman named Angela.
Brenda and Nate go to Billy's new photography show. Ruth, who was invited by Brenda, also brings Nikolai as a friend. Margaret Chenowith is there, very drunk, and annoys and embarrasses her children. Brenda is disgusted to see that Gareth Feinberg - the man who wrote a book about her as a child - has been invited by her mother. Nate is also extremely unimpressed when he sees that Billy took a photo of him urinating against a wall. Billy makes Brenda defend the work, and Nate storms off.
Nate and Brenda argue about the photograph back at her house. Nate feels like he is being stalked, and asks if Billy is dangerous. Brenda claims that the only person Billy is a threat to is himself, and reveals that he attempted suicide when she was 18. She sacrificed her scholarship to Yale so that she could stay and look after him.
Claire is beginning a new friendship with Gabe after he lost his six year old brother in the previous episode. The two hang out at his house, and it becomes clear that things are very difficult at home for him.
Angela starts her first day at Fisher and Sons. Nate and David are surprised to find that she dresses rather provocatively and is extremely open and opinionated. The brothers are clearly uncomfortable.
Brenda talks with Billy about the photo he took of Nate. She gets angry with him, calling him jealous. Billy questions why she cares so much, to which she responds that she loves Nate. She says that all Billy does is fuck with her life, the way Gareth Feinberg did, and storms out the room.
Claire shows Gabe the photograph of Nate, which they giggle over. Gabe uses the opportunity to apologise for everything that happened between them. He seems genuine and Claire accepts the apology. He holds her hand and the couple share and intimate moment.
At work, Ruth invites Nikolai out to dinner. She swears it isn't a date, but Nikolai gets very happy nonetheless.
Gabe tells Claire that he is planning to go to Barstow to get some money off his dad. Claire says that she'll come with him. He says she doesn't need to look after him, which Claire agrees with and says she just likes hanging out with him.
Gareth Feinberg approaches his office to see that it has been broken in to. He slowly opens the door, revealing that it has been broken in to. On the wall is written 'Nathaniel and Isabel' in red paint.
Margaret and Bernard enter their garden to find Billy in a manic state. He has thrown all of Feinberg's files on Brenda into the pool. His parents begin to psychoanalyse him and talk about him as if he isn't there, which angers him even more. Billy yells at his mother, saying that everything she touches turns to shit and that she deserves to die.
Angela continues to irritate Nate and David, and Ruth is also shocked by her first encounter with the woman.
Brenda goes to her parents house to discuss Billy. They tell her that they want Billy institutionalised. Brenda is disgusted, and says there is nothing they can do because Billy is a grown man who can only commit himself. Margaret hopes that Brenda will talk to him and be able to persuade him, to which Brenda tells them to fuck off.
Claire is waiting for Gabe to leave for their trip to Barstow. She checks her phone, and finds a message from him saying that its better if he goes alone. He thanks Claire for her help and says goodbye. Claire is surprised and saddened.
Brenda talks to Billy about what he did. Billy makes excuses, saying that he was on new medication that didn't work, but that he is fine now. Brenda asks if she should be worried about him, but he promises her that she doesn't need to be. She hugs and kisses him affectionately.
Ruth discovers that a special glass has been broken. She confronts Nate and David about it, and the two boys seize the opportunity to blame Angela.
David is distributing food to homeless people as part of a Church program when he bumps into Keith. The two men are clearly happy to see each other. Tracy, the woman who has a crush on David, interrupts and makes the situation awkward. David is blunt with her and she leaves. David asks Keith if he is in a serious relationship with Eddie. Keith says no, not yet. Keith then condemns David for taking drugs, but David assures him it was a one off thing. They agree to go out and get dinner together.
Ruth and Nikolai are at their meal when two of Nikolai's lady friends come and join them. They appear friendly, but in the bathroom one of the woman confronts Ruth - she has been trying to get Nikolai's attention for months and is jealous. Ruth realises that she doesn't want to jeopardise her job, so apologises and decides to leave.
Keith goes back to David's house. They start kissing, but when David begins to take it too far Keith stops it. Keith is shocked at how desperate David is and leaves. Shortly after, David has graphic phone sex with a random number he has found on the internet.
Nate finds Claire crying. She talks to him about Gabe, and says that she wants him back. Nate tells her that what she's really upset about is their dad.
Nate goes to see Brenda. She says that she can't talk about Billy any more, its all she's been talking about for days. He tells her that he loves her and that he needs her. He wants her to needs him too. She tells him that she's trying the best she can.
David fires Angela after she tries to set him up with her gay friends. Angela sees Ruth on the way out, and mentions that she's never known someone be so uptight about being gay. Ruth is shocked, as this is the first she has heard of David's homosexuality.
Margaret turns up at Brenda's uninvited. Brenda cuts to the chase and knows that she is there to talk about committing Billy. Margaret reveals that Billy didn't actually try and kill himself, but that in fact he made a bomb and set their house on fire, after which they put him into care. Brenda is outraged that they lied to her all these years, telling her mother that she has no idea how much that messed her up.
David tells Nate that Angela has been fired, and that they need a new restorative artist ASAP. Nate goes to see Rico at Kroehners. Rico tells Nate that it was Kroehner who set the house across the street on fire and that he is unhappy working there. He agrees to come back to Fisher and Sons if they can raise his wage. Nate happily obliges.
Claire goes to Gabe's house to try and find out his dad's number. Gabe's mum tells her that his dad died when Gabe was four. Claire suddenly realises that Gabe's message was saying goodbye for good. She frantically bangs on the door again to get Mrs Dimas' attention.

[edit] Quotes
- David: All she told the police is that he was boring.
- Nate: What, that's it?...Sick part is I understand it. Pause ...Sometimes I'm boring.
- David: Me too. Awkward silence
- Margaret: You know some complete stranger just grabbed my ass, isn't this fabulous?!
- David: We prefer a more professional appearance around here.
- Angela: Give me a break David, they're just nipples.
- Angela: On the phone I keep reading about these 1 hour orgasms and the least you could do is help me have one...Well I know that men can't have one but since you get to have every single other thing on the fucking planet I'd say it's a fair trade off!
- Ruth: Thank you. I've had the best time coming to this funny restaurant and having you yell at me in the bathroom!
- Angela: I never worked in a funeral home that was this depressing.
