The New Funk Order

The New Funk Order is an online musicians community founded in 2003 by Southern Illinois musician and social activist Jason Dodson. Solidified and formed by many other various artists and philanthropists, the organization has many participants internationally. Originating from the online Prince (musician) fan site Prince.org, the order has featured prominent artists including DreZone, Magnus Goethe and DaSilva, Bumper, Vina Blue, Richard Hill, Beau Hall, and The Download Society, among others.

The goal of the New Funk Order is to ensure the continual freedom of music and the arts by doing the following:

1. Providing original music and other artworks freely to the public.

2. Empowering members of the organization through the NFO by: artists individually reaping the benefits of personal recognition as a result of the advancement of the NFO, individual rights to their own music, and ensuring their freedom from corporate control.

3. Gathering as many artists to participate in the NFO as possible.
