"The Neighbor" is a country-rock song performed by the Dixie Chicks. It was released on February 20, 2007 to the iTunes Music Store for Canada only. A week later on February 27th it was released to the American and Australian stores. The song was used as a replacement during legs two and three of the Accidents & Accusations Tour performances between August and December 2006. The studio recording of the song was first introduced in the September 2006 documentary Shut Up and Sing, in which it played over the closing credits.

On March 8, 2007 the song debuted at #74 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.[1] The following week it fell out out of the chart.
As of March 23, 2007 the song is no longer available for download on the American iTunes, but is still on Canadian and Australian iTunes.[1]
