The Naked Truth is a 2005 album by American rapper Lil' Kim, released on September 27, 2005. The album was released on Kim's own record label Queen Bee Entertainment and distributed by Atlantic Records. "The Naked Truth" debuted and peaked at #6 on the Billboard 200 charts, selling nearly 109,000 copies in the opening week. At the time of its release, it was the first album in three years to receive a rating of 5 mics from Hip Hop magazine The Source, making Lil' Kim the first female artist to get a 5 mic rating. However this was believed to be because one of the owners of Source was dating Kim's manager. Despite, the high anticipation the album didn't sell nearly as well as her previous works, due to the fact that she was unable to tour and promote the album because of serving a year long prison sentence. The album has sold just 350,000 copies and has yet to reach gold status. It was rumored to have a Re-release but the rumor was just speculation and the re-release is on hold, according to Lil'Kim and her representatives.
