[edit] Plot
The story of a band called the Silver Boulders is at the height of its popularity when David, Thomas, and Josh break off to form the Gold Boulders. Left without any other band members, Alex and Nat decide to create a new band along with Rosalina and Cole Hawkins, called the Naked Brothers Band. They begin going on tour at the same time as the Gold Boulders, playing in Chicago with the Gold Boulders opening for them. The Gold Boulders' show turns out to be a disaster, with the band being booed off stage, but the Naked Brothers Band becomes a huge success. The movie ends with Thomas and David coming back to the Naked Brothers Band and the group playing a concert on top of their apartment building.
[edit] Cast
Nat and Alex's real life father plays their father (Michael Wolff) in the film. Nat and Alex's mother (Polly Draper) was the director of the film; she co-starred in the television series Thirtysomething. The cast members of that series made a cameo appearance in the NBB film.
