It may also refer to:

• The Gingerbread Man in the 2001 movie Shrek states he was made by The Muffin Man, though the Muffin Man does not actually appear until the sequel, Shrek 2.
• The Muffin Man is the nickname of the criminal who poisoned several people with muffins in the TV series Arrested Development. This person was later found out to be George Bluth Sr.
• The Muffin Man is a commonly used nickname for Michael LaVorgna.
• The Muffin Man is often used as a nickname for a drug dealer, such as in the phrase "Do you want to meet the Muffin Man?" and "I got a date later with the Muffin Man."
• Ironically, it may also be used to refer to the police. The accuracy of this, though, is debatable.
