"The Monster Is Loose" is a song, written by Desmond Child, Nikki Sixx and John 5. It is the title track for Meat Loaf's 2006 album Bat out of Hell III: The Monster Is Loose. The song is highly influenced by the gothic style of John 5, who incidentally plays the main guitar parts. The song is just over 7 minutes long, and consists of two verses, two choruses, two sections of a bridge, followed by an instrumental section, then the chorus again repeated.
Q were unimpressed with the track, suggesting that 'whoever decided it would be a good idea for Meat Loaf to tackle nu-metal... should be tarred and feathered.[1]
"The Monster is Loose", the song, got leaked over the internet several months before the album's official release. It was available for download at many places, as well as Meat loaf's official site, and his myspace.

[edit] Video
The video that goes with the song is made up of bit and pieces of other videos Meat Loaf has performed in or live stage clips. Just like the video for I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That) this video is a shortened version of the actual song. It goes for 4:37 long where as the CD version runs for 7:11.
