The Moffats (ISBN 0-15-202535-9) is a 1941 book by Eleanor Estes and illustrated by Louis Slobodkin. This book is the first in a series about the Moffats, a fatherless WWI family.It is a family of 5. Sylvie the oldest (12), the smartest and most responsible one, Joey (12) resonsible, sometimes, but very clumsy, Janey (9) the baby girl of the house, always well taken care of, Rufus (6) the one always getting into trouble! And last but certainly not least, Mama a very understanding mother for the Moffats getting through hard times and good times. I just finished reading this book and I think it was wonderful! It is funny mixed with times of sad but also with lots of SURPRISE!!!! I really loved this book and I hope you guys read it. Star911 04:22, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
