The Moan (ALIVE0047-2) is the first EP by blues-rock duo, The Black Keys. This is the third and last record released on Alive Records, as the band switched to Fat Possum Records to publish their 2003 sophomore album. The title track was also made available on a vinyl 7" SP (ALIVE0047-1), with Have Love Will Travel (Radio Edit) as the b-side (Alive Records). The original cut of Have Love Will Travel, which is a Sonics through Richard Berry cover, was first released on The Black Keys' second album, Thickfreakness. Heavy Soul (alternate) is a reprise of The Big Come Up version. The remaining track is No Fun, a Stooges cover.

The Moan
Also know as David Bell. He is famous world wide for his Victor Meldrew impersinations and continuous moaning throughtout every breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Tea break. The Moan is never happy and always looks on the dark side of life. There have been rare cases of suicide if too much time is spent with him.
