The Media Merchants Television Company Ltd was established in 1992 by Neil Buchanan and Tim Edmunds who both work as producers on the various programmes that The Media Merchants produces for the ITV network.

The first four series of Art Attack which is currently running on CITV were devised by the company who produced the show during its fifth series in 1993.
When TVS lost its' franchise, both Neil & Tim purchased the rights to the programme, and form a limited company in order to become a major player in childrens'TV.
The many programmes made by The Media Merchants were:

- Quids In! [A children's consumer show for Channel 4]
- CrazyHowBadAttack
- Teleganticmegavision
- Wow!
- It's a Mystery?
- Mystery
- You'll Believe it!
Most of the music used for those programmes where composed by Peter Miller & Ian Porter always credited as Mr.Miller & Mr Porter [|MrPorter]
The Media Merchants and Television Support Services merged prior to a takeover by Britt Allcroft's Gullane Entertainment which was, in turn taken over by HIT Entertainment
The Media Merchants is based at The Maidstone Studios in Kent with offices housing the various productions that they produce at the studios.
For much of its life, the production offices were housed in Portakabins which were previosly home to the TVS drama, CATS Eyes
