The Mechanik (U.S. Title: The Russian Specialist) is a 2005 film starring and directed by Dolph Lundgren and co-starring Ben Cross.

The story follows Nick Cherenko (Lundgren), an ex-member of Spetsnaz, the Russian special forces. After his wife and daughter are killed during a shoot out between gangs, Cherenko immigrates to America and starts a new life as a mechanic. Then one day, a Russian woman visits him, wanting to hire him for an important mission - rescue her kidnapped daughter in Russia. He refuses the offer but changes his mind when he discovers her captor was the same man behind the death of his family.
