The McDonald College at North Strathfield, NSW was established in 1984 as an Independent co-educational K-12 school and has a strong performing arts focus.

In 1912 Ann McDonald arrived with her family from Falkirk.
1925 Ann Mcdonald comes to Sydney to train as a singer but switches to teaching dance in 1926.
The McDonald College opened in 1984, in Strathfield, with 75 students and moved to its current site in North Strathfield, in 1999.
In 2003 the College celebrated their 20th Anniversary with a grand performance evening at the Sydney Opera House. The governor, Maree Bashir, attended along with many ex-students including Sarah Murdoch, Sarah Davies, Gina Brescanini. The highlight of the evening were the performances of the College's students.
