[edit] Plot

The movie starts from a point where the memories of a man end. After taking a train to Helsinki, the man goes to a park to sleep. He is mugged by hoodlums and is severely injured in the head. He awakes and wanders back to the train station and collapses in its bathroom. He awakes the second time in a hospital and finds that he has lost his memory. He starts his life from a scratch, living in container dwellings, finds clothes from Salvation Army and makes friends with poor, kind people who help him make a fresh start.

The film was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 2002 and won the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival.
