"The Magic Tree of Nowhere" is the first episode of Season 2 of Courage the Cowardly Dog.

Courage finds some magic seeds that grow into a tree outside the farmhouse. Whatever any of the characters wish for comes true at the tree's hands. Eustace, however, feels the tree is replacing him and wants to destroy it. Eustace unintentionally wishes that Muriel would grow a bigger head, making her head grotesquely large. Courage realizes that the tree is the only hope for a cure. The tree speaks to Courage telling him that by the time the cure can be ready, he will be cut down. Courage must defend the tree from Eustace, but the tree's prophecy comes true: Eustace manages to cut down the tree, but before it dies, it tells Courage how to cure Muriel. Courage cures her, but now Eustace has the same illness Muriel does, and he cannot be cured, since the tree has been cut down.

- Fifth episode with a friendly monster.
- Although Eustace plays the villain in this story, he's more selfless than in most, as he wants to provide for Muriel and Courage. It proves that he at least wants Muriel's respect since he's jealous of all the attention the tree's getting.
