The Love of Hopeless Causes
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Love of Hopeless Causes is the 6th studio album by British rock band, New Model Army. It was released in 1993 and produced by Niko Bolas, except track 9, Afternoon Song, which was produced by Riku Mattila. It featured guest musicians, guitarist Adrian Portas and Clive Layton, who played the hammond organ on track 2, Fate.
After the break from EMI, The Love Of Hopeless Causes was the first and only album to be released on Sony/Epic, before the band went independent forming their own label, Attack Attack Records.
The album sees the band abandoning the folk-rock-oriented sound of the prior albums, Thunder & Consolation (1989) and Impurity (1990) going for a more classic straightforward rock-sound.
