The LoveCrave is a gothic hard rock band from Italy. The project was born among the metropolitan ashes of the big city, Milan, united to the gothic and silent atmosphere of Venice.

The LoveCrave (originally Love-C-Rave) means "Hundredth Rave Of Love". Letter "C" in roman numbers is one hundred. This name was taken from a story about a rave of vampires written by Francesca Chiara back in year 2003.

The Brokenheart is the symbol of The LoveCrave. The meaning is "...the two faces of life: when the darkness meets the light there comes a sort of electricity that creates the magic..." Francesca Chiara

Rain is a 3D character that you can find on the cd covers and wherever the band is. She looks like Francesca Chiara but ..."she is the other me, the angry one, the fake one, the bad one, she's the one I am on stage and I hate her."

The band is formed of two experienced rock musicians from Milan and two old, good friends of Venice origin that moved to Milan to make music. The mix of sounds is an explosive magic potion and The LoveCrave realized it right away when they played together for the first time. The experience and the great artistic discharge of every component of the band ooze like an evil Venice fog that covers your heart at the first listen. Experimentation and sound research have been fundamental, with no limits and with a never satisfied attitude, working during the night and putting every extra cent on the work.
Tank Palamara, guitarist and producer of The LoveCrave who owns ten years of tours and rock productions under his belt, decides that it was time to "get serious" and made the engine finally run at its full potential!
Francesca Chiara, with her melodies and with her acid voice, enchants The LoveCrave atmospheres. She takes care of all the graphics curing every detail and invented "Rain", her 3D alter-ego. Being a born writer, she wrote a fiction story ("The Angel And The Rain") that pieces all the songs together and that is included in the CD booklet for your reading pleasure.
Iakk has been playing the drums with Tank and F. Chiara for the past six years and also takes care of the live sets and rehearsals.
Simon Dredo, F. Chiara's best friend from High School, was the last to join the band as bass player in March 2005 after a tour in England, just in time to record the bass parts for the songs.
Tank and Francesca, co-writers for many years, write about 15 songs in less than a month and that’s how a live metal band becomes a serious project aiming to the music industry. What The LoveCrave were looking for during the recordings was a rough, elegant and new sound at the same time, taking inspiration also from Iron Maiden and eighties sound to the Depeche Mode, curing every detail but trying to leave that instinctive and rough edge untouched. They create in their mind a sort of Blade Runner world and try to put music in it.
In March 2006 they sign with the German record label RepoRecords that realeases The LoveCrave’s first album, "The Angel And The Rain". In May 2006 the band signs with WOD one of the biggest gothic/metal booking agencies in Europe. In June 2006 the mastering of the album is done by Alex Klier in Munich (LXK Studios). In August 2006 the band leaves for a German tour with The Birthday Massacre, a famous canadian band.
Oct 30th 2006 "The Angel And The Rain" was released in Europe.
In November the band flies to Paris for a promo day.
The German press totally supports The LoveCrave with highlights and stories for months in a row.
Also Italy seems crazy for the band and all the main metal/gothic magazines include long articles and great reviews speaking of the band as a new goth revelation. English radio TotalRock, one of the biggest in the UK, discovers The LoveCrave and supports them all the way giving them the chance to play in London in Jenuary 07 at the famous venue Camden Underworld. The gig is promoted by the radio and the day before the show, The LoveCrave record in London 4 unplugged tracks at the Sonic Studio of TotalRock.
The promotion work in Germany is great so The LoveCrave get a spot in the famous WGT Festival of Leipzig, one of the biggest gothic festivals in Europe. They will play there at the end of May 07. As the agency works on more gigs, the band began to work on the new album…

The music style of The LoveCrave is a mix of gothic, 80's hard rock, metal, darkwave and electro-pop so there isn't a precise definition for it. Usually the band is classified in the gothic metal genre but they don't feel comfortable there cause influences in the sound are various. So they usually describe their style as NEW GOTH.
