The Long Road Out Of Eden is the title of the forthcoming seventh studio album by Eagles. Nearly five years in production, the album would be the first studio album from Eagles since 1979. In 2005 the band made what they jokingly called the first of their "Farewell" Tours, that launched a successful DVD release recorded over three nights at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia. During the tour Eagles frontman and drummer, Don Henley and the rest of the band spoke of the new album in a BBC interview, saying they hoped for release by early 2007.[1] [2] Joe Walsh has also suggested [3] that there will be a release in the first half of 2007. The album is expected to be reminiscent of the older days of Eagles and will be country-rock in tone.[citation needed] Don Henley, in a private concert held on January 27, 2007, said the album would be out in 60-90 days..."unless we kill each other first." [1]
