The Little Ones (band)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Little Ones are a notable indie pop band based out of Los Angeles, Ca. They seemed to achieve a rapid success after they performed live on Seattle, Washington radio station KEXP on July 29th, 2006,[1] then KEXP featured their song, "Oh, MJ!," as it's song of the day[1] on November 28th, 2006, and NPR featured their song "Lovers Who Uncover" as their song of the day. After these events, Matt Costa invited them to open for him at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City,[2] and from then on their fame has grown. They have since played shows and toured with the likes of French Kicks, CSS, Tilly and the Wall,Elvis Perkins, Jamie T, The Magic Numbers, and The Boy Least Likely To. In April 07, the band will be supporting the Kaiser Chiefs for a string of dates.

The Little Ones indie pop tunes, which feature tambourines and handclaps, have garnered them comparisons to 1960s pop bands such as The Beach Boys, The Zombies, The Kinks, modern-day pop group The Shins,[2] and the Elephant Six collective.[3]
