[edit] Notes
- The Joker makes references to three restaurants: Long John Silver's, McDonald's, and Colonel Sanders' Kentucky Fried Chicken.
- George Dzundza, who plays the hapless G. Carl Francis here, later appeared on the series playing the villain Arnold Wesker/Scarface, and he played editor Perry White in Superman: The Animated Series.
- Many fans have considered this to be the darkest episode of the series and the scariest.
- Eric Radomski, one of the minds behind the show's success, did not work on this episode, as revealed in one of the many DVD commentaries.
- Despite the fact that Robert Costanza voiced Harvey Bullock, fans believe that Danny DeVito voiced him, but was uncredited. Incidentally, DeVito played Oswald Cobblepot, aka the Penguin in Batman Returns.
- This is one of the few episodes without a title card.
