The Last Ride is a TV action drama with Dennis Hopper, Will Patton and Fred Ward. The movie was primarily used by General Motors to market the new (at that time) Pontiac GTO and was shown for the first time on June 2, 2004 on the USA Network.

Back in 1970, a notorious robber Ronnie Purnell is arrested after a robbery and jailed for more than 30 years. Since his wife was killed during the chase with the police, a cop Darryl Kurtz took care of their son Aaron. In the present time, Ronnie is released out of jail and determined in intention to revenge himself on Darryl. His son Aaron has also become a cop and doesn't want to hear about him anymore, but Aaron's son Matthew is fascinated by his grandfather's past and decides to help him to find his old car, a 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge, in which he hid a key for the safe with a lot of evidences against Darryl.
