[edit] Plot Summary

The Joker employs a lethal mind altering laughing gas to transform the citizens of Gotham into total fools. If Batman doesn't stop the Clown Prince of crime, everyone will soon go totally mad, including his friend and butler, Alfred.

[edit] Reaction

Many fans criticised the episode because it was very like an old Super Friends episode where the Joker just causes trouble for no reason and Batman stops him. Batman's involvement in the episode had no motivation. It also lacks some of the psychological driven elements that we have seen in previous episodes. Bruce Timm also admitted that the script was poor and that it was somewhat like the t.v show of the 60's.
