The Larry David Sandwich is the fifth season premiere of the HBO series Curb Your Enthusiasm. It originally aired on September 25, 2005 and was directed by Robert B. Weide, based on a story idea by Larry David.
[edit] Plot synopsis
Larry has a near-death experience while swimming (which will haunt him for the remainder of the season). He also learns that there is a new sandwich named after him, the "Larry David", but he doesn't like the ingredients (whitefish and smoked sablefish, with cream cheese, onions, and capers). So he embarks on an unsuccessful mission to try to trade his sandwich for another person's, even visiting Ted Danson on the set of his new show.
Meanwhile, Larry also learns from his father while on his hospital bed that he may be adopted. This begins a season-long story arc involving Larry finding out the truth about his real parents.
